Grilled Swordfish Ingredients
- 1 pounds Fresh Local Swordfish from The Local Catch
- Soy Sauce
- Lemon Juice
- ½ stick of Butter (melted)
- 1 clove of Garlic
Grilled Swordfish Recipe
Mince garlic and sauté in butter and put aside butter and garlic (to be used to baste fish).
Take any casserole dish or pie plate and pour equal amounts of soy sauce and lemon juice (just enough to cover the entire bottom of the dish. Place swordfish in dish for 10 minutes, then flip over fish and let sit another ten minutes. (You are not "marinating" the fish; do not submerge.)
Heat gas or charcoal grill, being sure to clean and oil grate/cooking surface.
Place swordfish on grill (should be hot enough to sear swordfish on contact). Baste fish with garlic butter and cook for 5-7 minutes (depending on thickness of fish).
Flip over swordfish (best to flip it onto a part of the grill not used yet, as it will be hot enough to sear the fish) baste cooked side of fish with melted butter and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
Remove from grill and serve.
To simplify recipe further, use melted butter alone to baste (omit sautéed garlic) and then just sprinkle fish with a dash of granulated garlic when done basting.
